Couple weeks ago, when I was still in France I took couple pictures of my beautifull friend Pauline when we were having one of those very girly day we're so good at spending together ! Gossip, talking about latest trends, laughing, listening to music.. Having a very good time.
So this is only the first part of the pictures we took this day. The others are coming soon..
Looks like a Déjà vu ? Well actually it's not the first time Pauline make an appearance on my blog. You can check the oldest post about her HERE and HERE.
In the beginning of the week I
discovered the Gallery of African Art in London based between Green Park and
Piccadily Circus thanks to my friend Kiitan. We decided to go there to see The
Spirit of Makonde, an exhibition of works by George Lilanga, a Tanzanian
artist. Sculptures, paintings, etchings were exposed and I loved each of it.
George Lilanga's work is upon 'the myths and cosmological beliefs of his
Makonde heritage'. What makes his work popular is the representation of
Shetanis (spirits, devil) in daily scene (using phones, brushing teeth and lots
more). Lilanga's work is full of bright colors, full of humour and fascinating.
On the occasion of my friend Olivia's journey in France we spent together an entire week-end in Paris during wich one we had a lot of fun together.
Olivia is a Canadian young lady of 25 years old. She spent a week in Grenoble (south of France) then spent 3 days in Paris before heading back to Toronto. During the 3 days she spent in Paris we really got to know each other and she had the opportunity to visit some of the most famous monuments of Paris such at the Eiffel tower, the Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe.
Rihanna, Naomi Campbell and Iman for W Magazine wearing Balmain. I have one thing to say : PERFECT. They are gorgeous and I totally fell in love with those pictures. I rarely had such a big crush for a photoshoot but that one is everything. The beauty, the confidence, the charisma present here is increible and magnetizing.
The latest collection of Balmain is perfectly wore by the 3 international superstars. Their makeup and hair are flawless. A nude lipstick, a brown smokey eye.. That's pure genius here. Not too much, just enough to reach perfection and to highlight their natural beauty.
Let's remember that Rihanna was cast to become the face of Balmain for spring 2014.
I decided lately to detox my body because I read couple articles about how good it is for us, for our organs our skin and everything. I've been totaly conviced ! I think we should all try couple days per month to eat and drink very healthy and care -more than usual- about our body. Can you realize that thanks to fresh fruits and vegetables you can get a natural energy boost, you get to stimulate your body to purge itfself, you reinforce your immune system and improve your skin, hair and breath. I don't see any reason not to go for it, really.
Couple days ago I tried the "Stamping Nail Art starter kit" (available at Sephora) to embellish my nails easily, quickly and by myself. Well I may have think it will be too easy and too quick, because it took me like an entire hour just to customize 4 nails lol. When the result wasn't good enough, I was erasing and doing it again and again and again.. But it was the first day I tried it so the result is more than simple and not great, that's true but I'll try to do better the next time.
Sweatshirts are the perfect pieces when you want to create an effortless look. And you can wear them is so many different ways. Anyway, this time I decided to keep my outfit simple by wearing a Mateya sweatshirt and adding a Mango bag and simple Nike sneakers.
Effortless white look on an unexpected rainy day. I went casual by wearing basic white All Stars sneakers. Now I'm on the hunt for the perfect white distressed boyfriend jeans, so if you have any ideas or tips to share, that's the moment dolls. Hope you all have a good week-end.
Lately we had a really good weather in Paris so of course, I enjoyed it properly ! I'm in love with those hot sunny days, those when you can go to a Café or just chill out with your friends and family wearing your sunglasses and enjoying the weather and life the way it is.
Hi dolls ! This week I went shopping (mostly for clothes) but today, I will share with you the beauty products I found at Kiko. As you may have noticed, I like a lot the brand Kiko. I love the quality of their products and more important I can find my exact skin tone in their foundation, concealers and others...
Let me introduce you my friend Maeva. Maeva and I have been friends for more than 5 years now, and we are really close. Sometimes we feel like we are sisters and that's actually pretty the truth ! She knows my family, I know hers. We can spend days and nights chilling at each other's houses like if it was our own home.
Anyway, the topic of today is her hair. Maeva has a 4a type of hair. She went natural 3 years ago when she big choped because she was struggling with hair breakage (she was relaxing her hair a lot).
Hi dolls ! I decided to go back to my natural hair for a while because I kind of got bored lately of the long curly hair.. I'm not used to rock my natural hair so it will surprise many people aroung me to see me like this I guess.
Anyway today is a bad hair day, so i decided to "hide" it with a turban in wax. It's so colorful and nice that it easily hide how bad my hair was today.
Let's do a little recap. Well, I came back in France last week, I don't know yet how long I am going to stay here. I guess, I'll celebrate my birthday here since it's very soon. Plus, it feels good to be home and be with my parents.. So this is the reaon why i didn't have the time yet to shoot new outfits
This article is for those who don't use instagram or don't follow me -yet lol-. As you may know I use a lot instagram, it's like a visual diary and I like to share things I'm living, wearing or event eating.
Do you remember when last December I went to Africa ? In Bamako, in Mali to be price ? Well, I went there because my cousin Mariam was getting married and that was something I couldn't miss at all !
Yesterday, I was looking at the wedding's pictures and I decided to share couple of it with you because you can't imagine how happy and grateful I was to be there. It's just incredible, I still remember when we were children and we were acting like we were the music band S CLUB 7 with my cousins and that Mariam was playing Jo ! And now, she's married. Waw.. Time passes so fast.
This wedding was the occasion to gather all our family, to spent time with people I haven't seen for years and especially to spend what was the most magical day of my cousin and her husband's lives.
Thanks God it's Friday! After
a real busy week, I'm more than happy to be Friday. Especially when the sun is shining, what else
do you need? Week-end and sun, perfect combo.
My outfit of the day was
pretty simple. At first I was in the mood to wear a complete white outfit. But
that was before I was choosing my shoes of the day and that I saw my new coral
Primark heels (remember?). So I decided to pick accessories that'll match with
it. I wore a coral bag and a gold necklace and a gold watch that remind the
details of the shoes.
The days are getting hotter and it's time to organize our closet
so that we'll find easily our spring outfits. For me, it's also the time to get
new spring accessories, the one I'll be rocking the most this season and also
adjusting my skin care routine (but that's a complete different topic).
I went shopping couple days ago at Primark and I'm pretty
satisfied of the new items I bought. Here are couples of them; the rest will stay
a surprise for my next posts.
If you are looking for any
beautiful and peaceful place to chill in London or to eat an ice cream, I suggest
you South Kensington.
It's such a beautiful place, with an amazing architecture. It's also known as a
home for French expatriates. You can find there the French consulate, the Lycee
Charles de Gaulle and the French Institute, home for a French cinema.
Another grey Sunday in Paris. There was surprisingly quite a bit of sun wich made me want to take photos for this new outfit post. This outfit has been inspired by Blair Waldorf, the character from the TV show Gossip Girl that we all know now.
My jeans are from American Apparel and I got this simple orange bag on the internet last summer but I don't remember where I found it. As soon as I'll remember I'll let you know.
Karl Lagarfled, Dior, Christian Lacroix, Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, Martin Margiela, Alexander McQueen, Thierry Mugler, Azzedine Alaia, Yohji Yamamoto, Olivier Theyskens..
All of them showed us the influence of the 18th century in today's fashion in an exposition that lasted from July to October 2011in le Chateau de Versailles, in France and obviously, I had to go this gorgeous exposition with my own eyes.
